This week has been rough around every corner but sprinkled w many blessings…thankful that our God is greater then any circumstance that we may encounter. Standing on His promises that are yes and amen!
A few nights ago, I went to a woman’s conference and the minister spoke such a timely word. “Many of times the test comes before the promise.” Sometimes we truly must stand, wait and pray to see the redemption of the Lord draw nigh and our prayers answered! Things don’t always turn out how we hope or want them too, but God has a plan that breaks through our cookie cutter perspectives, and He’s wanting us to see the bigger picture. Often, that’s difficult to see and that’s why we must ASK for God to share His heart with us in the matters of life. ….
A few days ago, Luke was diagnosed with Autism. To be honest…I already knew this but didn’t want to speak it out loud, but hearing it confirmed from the dr was rough. Despite this, I know that God has great plans for this little guy as We’ve prayed for Him before he even was and we have many praying along side us continuously now. This will not hold him back from what God has for him, but it may just plunge him right into what He was destined for. Moses, in the bible, had a disability and stuttered (read Exodus 4), but still God used him and what got my attention was that the Lord said to him “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” God is ultimately in control and He has a bigger picture in mind then we could possibly fathom. It may not be how we pictured it, but God sees and knows all things best. Go on to verses 29-30 were Moses and Aaron told the elders of the Israelites that God had seen their misery and He was concerned. They also performed signs before them and the people believed and bowed to the most high God in worship!!! Wow!!! Just wow!!! God used Moses in the midst of disability and feeling unqualified for the call, and God was glorified through it!!! God supplied him with exactly what he needed to perform the task at hand. He went forth in boldness, God given PURPOSE, and confidence in the Lord. Never doubt that God is able and faithful to do what His word says that He will do!!!
We serve a God who miraculously heals, and I can testify to that in my own life and in my children’s lives as they are our miracle babies….I can also testify to the fact that we all go through difficult times…and sometimes things are out of our control and no matter how much we pray things don’t seem to change but the promise of healing is fulfilled whether on earth or in eternity. It is our mandate by God to speak those things that are not as though they were, and stand on God’s promises that are indeed yes and amen!!! It is also our responsibility as moms to get our children the help that they need to learn, grow, thrive, and succeed in who God has created them to be so while we wait on the promise to be fulfilled we will take Luke to the therapies that will help him do just that!!!
Just bc were Christians does not mean everything is always fine and dandy. As a matter of fact , a lot of times it’s right the opposite…just being real y’all. Satan is at war with the most high God who lives on the inside of us and he will stop at nothing to keep us distracted and discouraged so that we will not fulfill the destiny God has intended just for us but good news for us… he is defeated already and knows it! If he cant get to you by attacking your family then he will try to attack you in whatever way he can. Lately, my health has been hit hard, but I’m praising God through this storm for complete healing in Jesus name!!! That is all I will say about that. Testimony to come later, but Satan is like an annoying fly that will not stop buzzing around your plate at your yearly family picnic. Its time to find the fly swatter yall as he has no place in our homes, families, marriages, or even us as individuals. I feel a preach coming on!!!! The good thing is that we have our hope tightly knitted in the author and finisher of our faith. He knows the end from the beginning. He indeed does have the last say and I will stand on His report for my family and I forever. I will speak life as life and death are in the power of the tongue.
I see Mama Bear t-shirts a lot, and it got me to thinking ….what if we became a mama bear in the spirit rhelm by praying earnestly for our families and those we love? What if we were a bunch of mama bear prayer warriors that prophesied Gods word over our families, children, marriages, trials and sicknesses. I am not going to lie, fear is so easy to walk in, but as the song says… it is a liar!!! Gods perfect love cast out all fear so we don’t have to be afraid bc we can trust the God that has all these things that concern us in the palm of His hands and NO MATTER WHAT….whether we see change or not….God is STILL God!!! He loves us beyond our wildest imagination and HE has a PLAN!!! That’s not cliché…..that’s the BIBLE TRUTH!!!
I’m going to leave you with some verses and then I will Hush
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
May we trust Jesus in total surrender!!!
